Oklahoma City, Okla. - The Dallas Mavericks advanced to the 2024 NBA Finals on Thursday night after defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals. Luka Doncic led the way for the Mavericks with a 36-point triple-double, including 10 rebounds and five assists.
The Mavericks took control of the game in the second half, outscoring the Timberwolves by 17 points in the third quarter to take a commanding lead. Doncic was unstoppable in the second half, scoring 20 of his 36 points in the third quarter alone.
The Mavericks will now face the Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat in the NBA Finals. The Finals will begin on Tuesday, June 11th in Miami.
