F1 Hungary: Aron Battles, Hadjar Shines, McLaren Tactics, and More

Race Summary

Paul Aron of WEB Hitech maintained his championship lead in the Hungarian Grand Prix, but Isack Hadjar of PREMA Racing delivered a stellar performance to finish second. Hadjar started the race from pole position and led the early laps, but Aron made a bold move on Lap 15 to take the lead. Aron then held on for the remainder of the race, with Hadjar unable to close the gap.

In third place, Jak Crawford battled hard with Dino Beganovic for much of the race, but Beganovic eventually pulled away to claim the final podium position. Finishing fifth was Zane Maloney, who was followed by Arthur Leclerc, Brad Benavides, and Franco Colapinto.

McLaren Tactics and Perez Under Pressure

McLaren endured criticism for its team tactics in the Hungarian Grand Prix. After Lando Norris took the lead at the start of the race, teammate Daniel Ricciardo was instructed to let Norris pass him to give Norris a better chance of winning. Norris eventually finished third, while Ricciardo finished eighth. The move has been questioned by some, who believe McLaren should have focused on maximizing Ricciardo's points instead.

Sergio Perez of Red Bull Racing also came under pressure in the Hungarian Grand Prix. He started the race from second position, but a poor start saw him drop back to fourth. Perez then made a mistake on Lap 14 that allowed Max Verstappen to take the lead. Perez was unable to recover and finished the race in second place.

What to Watch For in the Next Grand Prix

The Formula 1 season will resume with the Belgian Grand Prix on August 28th. The race will be the first since the summer break, and it is sure to be an exciting one.
