Max Verstappen Wins Hungarian Grand Prix
Red Bull's Max Verstappen put on a masterclass drive to win the Hungarian Grand Prix from 10th on the grid in a chaotic and thrilling race.
The Dutchman kept his cool amid the carnage and chaos of the opening lap, which saw Carlos Sainz and George Russell collide at Turn 1. Verstappen, who started from 10th, managed to avoid the drama and moved up to fourth by the end of the first lap.
Valtteri Bottas, who started from pole position, led the race for the first few laps, but Verstappen was soon on his tail. The Red Bull driver made his move on Bottas on lap 10, and he quickly built up a lead of over 10 seconds.
Verstappen controlled the race in the second half, and he eventually won by over 20 seconds from Bottas. Lewis Hamilton finished third, despite starting from the back of the grid.
Verstappen's victory was his eighth of the season, and it extended his lead in the drivers' championship to 80 points. The Red Bull driver is now the clear favorite to win the title this year.
