Morocco national football team qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals

Morocco booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations with a 2-1 victory over Gabon on Tuesday evening.
Sofiane Boufal gave Morocco the lead in the 21st minute with a deflected effort, before Jim Allevinah equalised for Gabon just before half-time.
Achraf Hakimi scored the winning goal for Morocco in the 84th minute with a stunning free-kick.
The victory means Morocco finish top of Group C with seven points, while Gabon finish bottom with just one point.
Morocco will now face the runners-up from Group D in the quarter-finals, while Gabon are eliminated from the competition.

The team's greatest achievement is winning the Africa Cup of Nations in 2012, as co-hosts.
Gabon have also qualified for the FIFA World Cup once, in 2015.
The team's home stadium is the Stade d'Angondjé in Libreville.
