Texas A&M Baseball Advances to College World Series Championship Series

Aggies Win Thriller Against Kentucky, 5-1

The Texas A&M Aggies baseball team is headed to the College World Series championship series for the first time in program history after defeating the Kentucky Wildcats 5-1 on Sunday night.

The Aggies got a strong pitching performance from starter Nathan Dettmer, who allowed just one run on four hits in six innings of work. The bullpen was also solid, with Bryce Miller and Joseph Menefee combining to throw three scoreless innings.

Offensively, the Aggies were led by Dylan Rock, who went 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Logan Britt and Brett Minnich also had two hits apiece.

Aggies One Win Away From History

The Aggies are now one win away from making program history. They will face the Oklahoma Sooners in the championship series, which begins on Monday night.

The Aggies are the No. 2 seed in the tournament, while the Sooners are the No. 1 seed. The two teams have not met this season.
